Privacy policy
Short version: we have no accounts, we never see your API key, and the only things we store are what you choose to publish plus the minimum needed to stop abuse.

Your Gemini API key
Your key is stored only in your browser's local storage on your device. When you generate, your browser sends the request directly to Google's Gemini API. The key is never transmitted to, logged by, or stored on ideaxapp.com. Google's handling of API requests is covered by Google's Gemini API terms; note that Google may use free-tier prompts and outputs to improve its products.
What stays on your device
- Your API key, chosen model and device preference, theme and text-size settings.
- An unpublished draft of your latest prototype, so a refresh doesn't lose it.
- Private edit tokens for prototypes you publish, so you can manage them from the Mine page.
- Your display name for comments and publishing, if you entered one.
Clearing your browser data removes all of this.
What we store when you publish
The title, description, your idea text, the generated HTML, the model name, the device and style you chose, your optional display name, and a salted hash of your IP address (used only for rate limiting and abuse handling; it cannot be turned back into your address). Published prototypes are public and are released under CC0 — see the terms.
Reactions, comments and reports
Comments store the text, the optional name you enter, the time and an IP hash. Reactions store an anonymous visitor identifier so each person can react once. Reports store the reason and an IP hash.
Cookies
We set one strictly-necessary first-party cookie, ixa_v, containing a random anonymous identifier used to make reactions one-per-person. It contains no personal data and is not used for tracking or advertising. The admin area uses a session cookie for the site operator only. We do not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies.
Server logs
Like every website, our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) for a limited time for security and operations.
Children
The site is designed to be usable by children with an adult, but it does not ask for or knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Please do not put personal information in prototypes, names or comments.
Deleting your data
Delete or unlist any prototype from the Mine page on the device you published from. To remove a comment, a prototype you can no longer manage, or anything else, contact us with the link and we will remove it.
